WaterLinks contributes to GWOPA’s recognition as 2026 UN-Habitat Gender Champion

WaterLinks is proud to support the Global Water Operators’ Partnership Alliance in its recognition as a 2026 UN-Habitat Gender Champion.

Through a partnership in Odisha, India, with the Odisha Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Società Metropolitana Acque Torino S.p.A., Politecnico di Torino, Hydroaid, and support from the European Union, the initiative advanced gender inclusion in faecal sludge management-- training over 100 individuals and enabling women and transgender workers to lead operations across 119 facilities and service units.

This recognition highlights the value of inclusive partnerships in strengthening equitable and responsive sanitation services.
